Neat Stuff: Knit Town (the whole thing!)

Absolutely amazing. A group of knitters from Kent, UK have spent the last twenty three years knitting a replica of their village. This story from the Daily Mail online includes tons of pictures of the original houses, plus comments for the awesomely sassy ladies. My favorite: “The lady who did the church knitted most of the graves when she was on a sunbathing holiday in Spain, which gave the other guests a bit of a jolt,” says Margaret Goldup, 80, the club’s treasurer.”

I should admit that I immediately looked out my apartment window to gauge whether or not I could do this with my neighborhood (knitting nerd alert!) but I think the elevated subway tracks would be a little tricky to interpret in merino.
