We have pictures!

So without further ado, a selection of my favorite designs from the upcoming Looooooove issue.

First, from the “I’m With Cupid” story, this gorgeous number:

It’s also on the cover, so now you know what to look for. One of our staff members wrote the pattern; I’m hoping to have a conversation with her about it for the blog.

Then, a couple sock patterns from the “Head over Heels” story. A va-voom pair of sexy mesh stockings designed by Joan McGowan-Michael:

We’ve also got a feature on McGowan-Michael’s rise to sexy knitwear fame.

Then, quite possibly the cutest pair of socks ever. They’re the bee’s knees! No really, they are!

They make me smile. Sure, the antennae might be a bit impractical, but it’s a minor sacrifice when you consider that you could have knees with bees on them.

And finally, from the “Baby Love” story, what may possibly be my favorite picture from a knitting magazine EVER. I must warn you, if your biological clock is making any kind of tick-tock noise at all, you may want to click away. Presenting the “Heartbreaker” sweater:

Right? I mean, the baby Doc Martens paired with the tutu and tights are cute enough. But the sweater itself is just freaking adorable. A heart divided by a jagged button band, so that unbuttoned, the heart looks broken, like those broken heart necklaces. Unbelievably cute.

We’re working on getting the web update for the winter issue ready, so stay tuned for more sneaks.

Yay! The heart sweater came out fabulous. And I like those lacy stockings.

AHHHH that is going to be one HELL of an issue! I can’t wait!

I am a bit disappointed with the direction that Knit.1 is taking, especially since I just sent in for a subscription. I LOVE LOVE LOVED the idea behind Knit.1 being geared toward teens and twenty-somethings meaning no baby clothes! I also loved the idea that all the yarn was Lion Brand meaning it was yarn I could find at my local craft store that was inexpensive. I guess I will just have to await the next issue to see how big these changes will effect the magazine.

OOOh I can’t wait! And I disagree with the previous poster - I’ve LOVED Knit1 from the start and I’m thrilled there will be a little girl pattern in the new issue. I’m 24 and a mother to four already, so it’s great to see HIP pattern for little ones alongside stuff that I’d love to knit for myself.

I can’t wait to get this issue - I used to have sweaters JUST like this one when I was little and I’ve been wanting to make a “grown-up” version forever - thanks!
