1. This vertical double decrease worked
on the wrong side begins by slipping the next two stitches
knitwise, one at a time, to the right-hand needle and
returning them, unworked, to the left-hand needle.
2. Now,
bring the yarn to the front of the work, insert the point
of the right-hand needle through the back loops of the
slipped stitches and slip them onto the right-hand needle
together.
3. Purl
the next stitch from the left hand needle. Lift the loops
of the slipped stitches with the point of the left-hand
needle and pass them over the stitch just purled.
