Knit.1
Workshop: lace scarf

1.
This vertical double decrease worked on the wrong side begins by slipping the next two stitches knitwise, one at a time, to the right-hand needle and returning them, unworked, to the left-hand needle.

2. Now, bring the yarn to the front of the work, insert the point of the right-hand needle through the back loops of the slipped stitches and slip them onto the right-hand needle together.

3. Purl the next stitch from the left hand needle. Lift the loops of the slipped stitches with the point of the left-hand needle and pass them over the stitch just purled.
